Though I am almost a quarter of a century old, I have learned tonight that 1) the dark does not get less dark or scary as you get older 2) you can't double check the locks too many times and 3) the following safety precautions will always be appropriate:

[side note: I am home alone for the next week and I kind of love it--though it is a little lonely and yes, I am still afraid of the dark. What do you guys do to savor your home alone time?]

i just had jenny quote home alone in a text message! this guy was asking for her fake forgiveness from a fake offense and i had her reply "okay, i forgive you, but my tommygun don't" SO GOOD.
When home alone, I like to put on some jazz and drink peppermint tea and/or put on some REALLY good music and dance around a lot and/or bake and cook to my heart's content 'cause how often can you use your kitchen for a long time without feeling like you're gonna be in someone's way at some point?
